python-rsa is:
Python-RSA is a pure-Python RSA implementation. It supports encryption and decryption, signing and verifying signatures, and key generation according to PKCS#1 version 1.5. It can be used as a Python library as well as on the commandline. The code was mostly written by Sybren A. Stüvel.
This package contains the module for Python 2.
There are three methods to install python-rsa
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install python-rsa Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-rsa
using apt-get

sudo apt-get -y install python-rsa

sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python-rsa
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install python-rsa
Install python-rsa Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-rsa

How To Uninstall python-rsa on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python-rsa
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-rsa
Uninstall python-rsa And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-rsa
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-rsa
Remove python-rsa Configurations and Data
To remove python-rsa
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-rsa
Remove python-rsa configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove python-rsa
