How To Install python-qwt-doc on Ubuntu 18.04

The qwt package is a pure Python implementation of Qwt C++ library with the following limitations.
The following Qwt classes won’t be reimplemented in qwt because most
powerful features already exist in guiqwt:
- QwtPlotZoomer
- QwtCounter
- QwtEventPattern
- QwtPicker
- QwtPlotPicker
QwtClipper is not implemented yet (and it will probably be very difficult or impossible to implement it in pure Python without performance issues). As a consequence, when zooming in a plot curve, the entire curve is still painted (in other words, when working with large amount of data, there is no performance gain when zooming in).

There are three methods to install python-qwt-doc on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-qwt-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-qwt-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install python-qwt-doc
Install python-qwt-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python-qwt-doc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install python-qwt-doc
Install python-qwt-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-qwt-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-qwt-doc
How To Uninstall python-qwt-doc on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python-qwt-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-qwt-doc
Uninstall python-qwt-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-qwt-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-qwt-doc
Remove python-qwt-doc Configurations and Data
To remove python-qwt-doc configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-qwt-doc
Remove python-qwt-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove python-qwt-doc configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge python-qwt-doc
