What is python-qtconsole
python-qtconsole is:
IPython can be used as a replacement for the standard Python shell, or it can be used as a complete working environment for scientific computing (like Matlab or Mathematica) when paired with the standard Python scientific and numerical tools. It supports dynamic object introspections, numbered input/output prompts, a macro system, session logging, session restoring, complete system shell access, verbose and colored traceback reports, auto-parentheses, auto-quoting, and is embeddable in other Python programs.
This package contains the qtconsole library for the Python 2 interpreter.

on Debian 9. We can use apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-qtconsole
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-qtconsole
How To Uninstall python-qtconsole on Debian 9
To uninstall only the python-qtconsole
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-qtconsole
Uninstall python-qtconsole And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-qtconsole
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-qtconsole
Remove python-qtconsole Configurations and Data
To remove python-qtconsole
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
