PySMI is a pure-Python implementation of SNMP SMI MIB parser. This tool is designed to turn ASN.1 MIBs into various formats. As of this moment, JSON and pysnmp modules can be generated from ASN.1 MIBs.

This package contains the Python 2.x module.

There are three methods to install python-pysmi on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install python-pysmi Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install python-pysmi using apt-get by running the following command:

Install python-pysmi Using aptitude
