How To Install python-pampy on Ubuntu 18.04

What is python-pampy
python-pampy is:
Provide an authenticate() function that will allow the caller to authenticate a user against the Pluggable Authentication Modules (PAM) on the system.
The module pam.py is a single file, implemented using ctypes, so no compilation is necessary. This package provides the pam.py module for Python 2.
There are three methods to install python-pampy
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install python-pampy

After updating apt database, We can install python-pampy

Install python-pampy Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-pampy
using aptitude

How To Uninstall python-pampy on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python-pampy
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-pampy
Uninstall python-pampy And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-pampy
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-pampy
Remove python-pampy Configurations and Data
To remove python-pampy
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-pampy
