How To Install python-os-net-config on Ubuntu 18.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install python-os-net-config on Ubuntu 18.04.
What is python-os-net-config
python-os-net-config is:
The core aim of this project is to allow fine grained (but extendable) configuration of the networking parameters for a network host. The project consists of:
- A CLI (os-net-config) which provides configuration via a YAML or JSON file formats. By default os-net-config uses a YAML config file located at /etc/os-net-config/config.yaml. This can be customized via the –config-file CLI option.
- A Python library which provides configuration via an object model.
This package contains the Python 2.x module.
There are three methods to install python-os-net-config on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-os-net-config Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-os-net-config using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install python-os-net-config

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python-os-net-config using apt by running the following command:

Install python-os-net-config Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-os-net-config using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-os-net-config
How To Uninstall python-os-net-config on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python-os-net-config package we can use the following command:
