How To Install python-optlang on Ubuntu 18.04

python-optlang is:
Optlang is a Python package for solving mathematical optimization problems, i.e. maximizing or minimizing an objective function over a set of variables subject to a number of constraints. Optlang provides a common interface to a series of optimization tools, so different solver backends can be changed in a transparent way. Optlang’s object-oriented API takes advantage of the symbolic math library sympy to allow objective functions and constraints to be easily formulated from symbolic expressions of variables.
This package installs the library for Python 2.
There are three methods to install python-optlang on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-optlang Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-optlang using apt-get by running the following command:

After updating apt database, We can install python-optlang using apt by running the following command:

Install python-optlang Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install python-optlang using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-optlang

To uninstall only the python-optlang package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge python-optlang
