How To Install python-neutron-taas on Ubuntu 18.04

What is python-neutron-taas
python-neutron-taas is:
Neutron provides an API to dynamically request and configure virtual networks. These networks connect “interfaces” from other OpenStack services (such as vNICs from Nova VMs). The Neutron API supports extensions to provide advanced network capabilities, including QoS, ACLs, and network monitoring.
Tap-as-a-Service (TaaS) is an extension to the OpenStack network service (Neutron). It provides remote port mirroring capability for tenant virtual networks.
Port mirroring involves sending a copy of packets entering and/or leaving one port to another port, which is usually different from the original destinations of the packets being mirrored.
This service has been primarily designed to help tenants (or the cloud administrator) debug complex virtual networks and gain visibility into their VMs, by monitoring the network traffic associated with them. TaaS honors tenant boundaries and its mirror sessions are capable of spanning across multiple compute and network nodes. It serves as an essential infrastructure component that can be utilized for supplying data to a variety of network analytics and security applications (e.g. IDS).
This package provides the Python files for the Tap-as-a-Service (TaaS) extension.
There are three methods to install python-neutron-taas on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-neutron-taas Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-neutron-taas using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python-neutron-taas using apt by running the following command:

Install python-neutron-taas Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-neutron-taas using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-neutron-taas
How To Uninstall python-neutron-taas on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python-neutron-taas package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-neutron-taas
Uninstall python-neutron-taas And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-neutron-taas and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-neutron-taas
Remove python-neutron-taas Configurations and Data
To remove python-neutron-taas configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-neutron-taas
Remove python-neutron-taas configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove python-neutron-taas configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge python-neutron-taas
