How To Install python-mechanize on Ubuntu 18.04

What is python-mechanize
python-mechanize is:
A library for browsing the web in Python. Mechanize acts like a browser allowing you to do web scraping, functional testing of web sites and things no one has thought of yet.

- Has a browser history
It was modelled after the Perl module WWW::Mechanize.
There are three methods to install python-mechanize
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install python-mechanize Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-mechanize
using apt-get

sudo apt-get -y install python-mechanize

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install python-mechanize

How To Uninstall python-mechanize on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python-mechanize
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-mechanize
Uninstall python-mechanize And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-mechanize
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-mechanize
Remove python-mechanize Configurations and Data
To remove python-mechanize
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-mechanize
