How To Install python-magnumclient on Ubuntu 18.04

What is python-magnumclient
python-magnumclient is:
Magnum is an OpenStack API service developed by the OpenStack Containers Team making container orchestration engines such as Docker and Kubernetes available as first class resources in OpenStack. Magnum uses Heat to orchestrate an OS image which contains Docker and Kubernetes and runs that image in either virtual machines or bare metal in a cluster configuration.
This package contains the Python 2.x module.
There are three methods to install python-magnumclient on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-magnumclient Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-magnumclient using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install python-magnumclient
Install python-magnumclient Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python-magnumclient using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install python-magnumclient
Install python-magnumclient Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-magnumclient using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-magnumclient
How To Uninstall python-magnumclient on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python-magnumclient package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-magnumclient
Uninstall python-magnumclient And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-magnumclient and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-magnumclient
Remove python-magnumclient Configurations and Data
To remove python-magnumclient configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-magnumclient
Remove python-magnumclient configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove python-magnumclient configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge python-magnumclient
