How To Install python-logutils on Ubuntu 18.04

What is python-logutils
python-logutils is:
The logutils package provides a set of handlers for the Python standard library’s logging package.
Some of these handlers are out-of-scope for the standard library, and so they are packaged here. Others are updated versions which have appeared in recent Python releases, but are usable with older versions of Python and so are packaged here.
This package contains the Python 2.x module.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the python-logutils package we can use the following command:

To uninstall python-logutils and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-logutils
Remove python-logutils Configurations and Data
To remove python-logutils configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-logutils
