python-libiio is:
Libiio is a library that has been conceived to ease the development of applications interfacing Industrial Input/Output (IIO) devices through the IIO subsystem of the Linux kernel.
This package contains the Python bindings for libiio.
There are three methods to install python-libiio
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install python-libiio Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-libiio
using apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install python-libiio

Install python-libiio Using aptitude

To uninstall only the python-libiio
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-libiio
Uninstall python-libiio And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-libiio
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-libiio
Remove python-libiio Configurations and Data
To remove python-libiio
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-libiio
