Kivy is a mixed Python library with Cython code, to take advantage of its highly dynamic nature and use any of the thousands of high quality and open source Python libraries out there, with the speed of C code.
This package contains the Python 2 compatible version of the library.
There are three methods to install python-kivy on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install python-kivy using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-kivy
How To Uninstall python-kivy on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python-kivy package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-kivy
Uninstall python-kivy And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-kivy and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-kivy
Remove python-kivy Configurations and Data
To remove python-kivy configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-kivy
Remove python-kivy configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove python-kivy configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
