jsonpickle is a Python library for serialization and deserialization of complex Python objects to and from JSON. The standard Python libraries for encoding Python into JSON, such as the stdlib??s json, simplejson, and demjson, can only handle Python primitives that have a direct JSON equivalent (e.g. dicts, lists, strings, ints, etc.). jsonpickle builds on top of these libraries and allows more complex data structures to be serialized to JSON. jsonpickle is highly configurable and extendable??allowing the user to choose the JSON backend and add additional backends.
This is the Python 2 version of the package.
There are three methods to install python-jsonpickle on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-jsonpickle Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-jsonpickle using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install python-jsonpickle

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python-jsonpickle using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-jsonpickle using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-jsonpickle
How To Uninstall python-jsonpickle on Debian 9
To uninstall only the python-jsonpickle package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-jsonpickle

To uninstall python-jsonpickle and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-jsonpickle
