What is python-ironic-lib
python-ironic-lib is:
A common library to be used by various projects in the Ironic ecosystem.
Ironic provision bare metal machines instead of virtual machines. It is a fork of the Nova Baremetal driver. It is best thought of as a bare metal hypervisor API and a set of plugins which interact with the bare metal hypervisors. By default, it will use PXE and IPMI in concert to provision and turn on/off machines, but Ironic also supports vendor-specific plugins which may implement additional functionality.
This package provides the Python 2.7 module.
There are three methods to install python-ironic-lib
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get

and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-ironic-lib Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-ironic-lib
using apt-get

sudo apt-get -y install python-ironic-lib

Update apt database with apt

sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python-ironic-lib

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
