What is python-ironic-inspector-client
python-ironic-inspector-client is:
This is an auxiliary service for discovering hardware properties for a node managed by OpenStack Ironic. Hardware introspection or hardware properties discovery is a process of getting hardware parameters required for scheduling from a bare metal node, given it’s power management credentials (e.g. IPMI address, user name and password).
A special discovery ramdisk is required to collect the information on a node. The default one can be built using diskimage-builder and ironic-inspector-ramdisk element.
This package contains the Python 2.7 module.
There are three methods to install python-ironic-inspector-client
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-ironic-inspector-client Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-ironic-inspector-client
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install python-ironic-inspector-client
Install python-ironic-inspector-client Using apt
Update apt database with apt

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install python-ironic-inspector-client
