Imposm is an importer for OpenStreetMap data. It reads XML and PBF files and can import the data into PostgreSQL/PostGIS databases.

It is designed to create databases that are optimized for rendering/WMS services.

There are three methods to install python-imposm on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install python-imposm Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
