How To Install python-hiredis on Ubuntu 18.04

What is python-hiredis
python-hiredis is:
python-hiredis provides a Python extension that wraps the protocol parsing code in Hiredis. It is targeted at speeding up parsing multi bulk replies from redis-server.
Hiredis is a minimalistic C client library for the Redis database, a persistent key-value database with support for atomically manipulating and querying data structures such as lists and sets.
python-hiredis is not a stand-alone redis client library and requires other code to perform low-level I/O with redis.
There are three methods to install python-hiredis on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-hiredis Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-hiredis using apt-get by running the following command:

Install python-hiredis Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-hiredis using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-hiredis
How To Uninstall python-hiredis on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python-hiredis package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-hiredis
Uninstall python-hiredis And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-hiredis and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-hiredis
Remove python-hiredis Configurations and Data
To remove python-hiredis configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-hiredis
Remove python-hiredis configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove python-hiredis configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge python-hiredis
