What is python-gear
python-gear is:
python-gear is a pure-Python asynchronous library to interface with Gearman.
It provides interfaces to build a client or worker, and access to the administrative protocol. The design approach is to keep it simple, with a relatively thin abstration of the Gearman protocol itself. It should be easy to use to build a client or worker that operates either synchronously or asynchronously.
The module also provides a simple Gearman server for use as a convenience in unit tests. The server is not designed for production use under load.
Installing the suggested python-statsd package would add support for reporting to statsd a frontend to Graphite a stats collection and graphing server.
This package contains the Python 2.x module.
There are three methods to install python-gear on Debian 10. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-gear Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install python-gear using aptitude by running the following command:

How To Uninstall python-gear on Debian 10
To uninstall only the python-gear package we can use the following command:

To remove python-gear configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
