What is python-fixtures
Fixtures defines a Python contract for reusable state / support logic, primarily for unit testing. Helper and adaption logic is included to make it easy to write your own fixtures using the fixtures contract. Glue code is provided that makes using fixtures that meet the Fixtures contract in unittest compatible test cases easy and straight forward.
We can use yum or dnf to install python-fixtures on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install python-fixtures.
Install python-fixtures on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install python-fixtures using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install python-fixtures
Install python-fixtures on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install python-fixtures using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install python-fixtures
How To Uninstall python-fixtures on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the python-fixtures package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove python-fixtures
