What is python-feedparser
Universal Feed Parser is a Python module for downloading and parsing syndicated feeds. It can handle RSS 0.90, Netscape RSS 0.91, Userland RSS 0.91, RSS 0.92, RSS 0.93, RSS 0.94, RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0, Atom 0.3, Atom 1.0, and CDF feeds. It also parses several popular extension modules, including Dublin Core and Apple’s iTunes extensions.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install python-feedparser
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install python-feedparser.
Install python-feedparser on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install python-feedparser
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install python-feedparser
Install python-feedparser on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install python-feedparser
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install python-feedparser
How To Uninstall python-feedparser on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the python-feedparser
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove python-feedparser
