How To Install python-dumbnet on Ubuntu 18.04

What is python-dumbnet
python-dumbnet is:
libdumbnet provides a simplified, portable interface to several low-level networking routines, including
- network address manipulation
- kernel arp(4) cache and route(4) table lookup and manipulation
- network firewalling (Ip filter, ipfw, ipchains, pdf, …)
- network interface lookup and manipulation
- raw IP packet and Ethernet frame transmission
libdumbnet is known as libdnet in other distributions, but was renamed in Debian in favour of the older DECnet library ’libdnet'.
This package contains the corresponding ‘dumbnet’ Python module.
There are three methods to install python-dumbnet
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Update apt database with apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-dumbnet
using aptitude

How To Uninstall python-dumbnet on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python-dumbnet
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-dumbnet

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
