What is python-dput

python-dput is:

dput-ng is a Debian package upload tool which provides an easy to use interface to Debian (like) package archive hosting facilities. It allows anyone who works with Debian packages to upload their work to a remote service, including Debian’s ftp-master, mentors.debian.net, Launchpad or other package hosting facilities for Debian package maintainers.

This package provides Python library functions providing core functionality to dput-ng and tools building on top of that. This library provides upload classes, profile parser, sanity checks and helper functions required to build a dput service.

There are three methods to install python-dput on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install python-dput Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install python-dput using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install python-dput using apt by running the following command:
