What is python-dingus
A dingus is sort of like a mock object. The main difference is that you don’t set up expectations ahead of time. You just run your code, using a dingus in place of another object or class, and it will record what happens to it. Then, once your code has been exercised, you can make assertions about what it did to the dingus.
We can use yum or dnf to install python-dingus on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install python-dingus.
Install python-dingus on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install python-dingus using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install python-dingus
Install python-dingus on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install python-dingus using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install python-dingus
How To Uninstall python-dingus on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the python-dingus package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove python-dingus
