What is python-dateutil
python-dateutil is:

- computing of relative deltas between two given date and/or datetime objects
- computing of dates based on very flexible recurrence rules, using a superset of the iCalendar specification. Parsing of RFC strings is supported as well.

- timezone (tzinfo) implementations for tzfile(5) format files (/etc/localtime, /usr/share/zoneinfo, etc), TZ environment string (in all known formats), iCalendar format files, given ranges (with help from relative deltas), local machine timezone, fixed offset timezone, UTC timezone

This package provides the Python 2 version of the datetime module.
There are three methods to install python-dateutil on Debian 10. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-dateutil Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the python-dateutil package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-dateutil

To uninstall python-dateutil and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-dateutil
