How To Install python-colormap on Ubuntu 18.04

What is python-colormap
python-colormap is:
The colormap package provides simple utilities to convert colors between RGB, HEX, HLS, HUV and a class to easily build colormaps for matplotlib. All matplotlib colormaps and some R colormaps are available altogether. The plot_colormap method (see below) is handy to quickly pick up a colormaps and the test_colormap is useful to see test a new colormap.
This package installs the library for Python 2.
There are three methods to install python-colormap
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-colormap Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-colormap
using apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install python-colormap

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-colormap
using aptitude

How To Uninstall python-colormap on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python-colormap
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-colormap
Uninstall python-colormap And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-colormap
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-colormap
Remove python-colormap Configurations and Data
To remove python-colormap
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-colormap
Remove python-colormap configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
