How To Install python-brotli on Ubuntu 18.04

python-brotli is:
Brotli is a generic-purpose lossless compression algorithm that compresses data using a combination of a modern variant of the LZ77 algorithm, Huffman coding and 2nd order context modeling, with a compression ratio comparable to the best currently available general-purpose compression methods. It is similar in speed with deflate but offers more dense compression.
This package installs a Python 2 module.
There are three methods to install python-brotli on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-brotli Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-brotli using apt-get by running the following command:

Install python-brotli Using aptitude

To uninstall only the python-brotli package we can use the following command:

To uninstall python-brotli and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-brotli
Remove python-brotli Configurations and Data
To remove python-brotli configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-brotli
