How To Install python-brial on Debian 10
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install python-brial
on Debian 10.
What is python-brial
python-brial is:
The core of BRiAl is a C++ library, which provides high-level data types for Boolean polynomials and monomials, exponent vectors, as well as for the underlying polynomial rings and subsets of the powerset of the Boolean variables. As a unique approach, binary decision diagrams are used as internal storage type for polynomial structures. On top of this C++-library a Python interface is provided. This allows parsing of complex polynomial systems, as well as sophisticated and extendable strategies for Groebner base computation. BRiAl features a powerful reference implementation for Groebner basis computation.
This package contains the BRiAl Python 2 module.
There are three methods to install python-brial
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-brial Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-brial
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install python-brial
Install python-brial Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python-brial
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install python-brial
Install python-brial Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-brial
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-brial
How To Uninstall python-brial on Debian 10
To uninstall only the python-brial
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-brial
Uninstall python-brial And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-brial
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-brial
Remove python-brial Configurations and Data
To remove python-brial
configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-brial
Remove python-brial configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove python-brial
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge python-brial
Dependencies
python-brial have the following dependencies:
