What is python-bandit
python-bandit is:
Bandit is a tool designed to find common security issues in Python code. To do this Bandit processes each file, builds an Abstract Syntaxt Tree (AST), and runs appropriate plugins against the AST nodes. Once Bandit has finished scanning all the files it generates a report.
This package contains the Python 2.7 module.
There are three methods to install python-bandit
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-bandit Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-bandit
using apt-get

sudo apt-get -y install python-bandit
