How To Install python-argh on Ubuntu 18.04

What is python-argh
python-argh is:
Argh provides a very simple wrapper for argparse.
Argparse is a very powerful tool; argh just makes it easy to use.
Here’s a list of features that argh adds to argparse:
- mark a function as a CLI command and specify its arguments before the parser is instantiated;
- nested commands made easy: no messing with subparsers;
- infer command name from function name;
- infer argument type from the default value;
- infer argument action from the default value (for booleans);
- infer arguments from function signature;
- add an alias root command help for the –help argument;
- enable passing unwrapped arguments to certain functions instead of an argparse.Namespace object.
Argh is fully compatible with argparse. You can mix argh-agnostic and argh-aware code. Just keep in mind that dispatch() does some extra work that a custom dispatcher may not do.
This package installs the library for Python 2.
There are three methods to install python-argh on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-argh Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update

Install python-argh Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-argh using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-argh
How To Uninstall python-argh on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python-argh package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-argh
Uninstall python-argh And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-argh and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-argh
Remove python-argh Configurations and Data
To remove python-argh configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-argh
Remove python-argh configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove python-argh configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge python-argh
