This package is part of Robot OS (ROS). The actionlib stack provides a standardized interface for interfacing with preemptable tasks. Examples of this include moving the base to a target location, performing a laser scan and returning the resulting point cloud, detecting the handle of a door, etc.

This package contains the Python binding.

There are three methods to install python-actionlib on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install python-actionlib Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install python-actionlib using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update
