How To Install pypy on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install pypy on Kali Linux.
What is pypy
pypy is:
PyPy is a fast, compliant alternative implementation of the Python language (2.7). It has several advantages and distinct features:
- Speed: thanks to its Just-in-Time compiler (on x86), Python programs often run faster on PyPy.
- Memory usage: large, memory-hungry Python programs might end up taking less space than they do in CPython.
- Compatibility: PyPy is highly compatible with existing Python code. It supports ctypes and can run popular Python libraries like twisted and django.
- Stackless: PyPy supports stackless mode on most platforms, providing micro-threads for massive concurrency.
This package contains the PyPy interpreter.
There are three methods to install pypy on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pypy Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pypy using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pypyInstall pypy Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pypy using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pypyInstall pypy Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pypy using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install pypyHow To Uninstall pypy on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the pypy package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pypyUninstall pypy And Its Dependencies
To uninstall pypy and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pypyRemove pypy Configurations and Data
To remove pypy configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pypyRemove pypy configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove pypy configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge pypyDependencies
