How To Install pyntor on Debian 10

In this tutorial we learn how to install pyntor on Debian 10.
What is pyntor
pyntor is:
Pyntor is a small, flexible and componentized presentation program. It is built upon Python and the SDL library (via pygame). Pyntor features a wiki-like presentation component, a HTML page component (Pyromaniac), and several more. Standard features like PDF/HTML export, page selection and interactivity are available, as are advanced features such as full-text search in the presentation slides.
Due to the minimal size and maximum configurability, Pyntor is a nice alternative to conventional presentation programs.
There are three methods to install pyntor on Debian 10. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pyntor Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install pyntor using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pyntor
Install pyntor Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install pyntor using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pyntor
Install pyntor Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install pyntor using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install pyntor
How To Uninstall pyntor on Debian 10
To uninstall only the pyntor package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pyntor

To uninstall pyntor and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pyntor
Remove pyntor Configurations and Data
To remove pyntor configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
