How To Install pyfr on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install pyfr on Kali Linux.
What is pyfr
pyfr is:
PyFR is an open-source Python based framework for solving advection-diffusion type problems on streaming architectures using the Flux Reconstruction approach of Huynh. The framework is designed to solve a range of governing systems on mixed unstructured grids containing various element types. It is also designed to target a range of hardware platforms via use of an in-built domain specific language derived from the Mako templating engine.
This package provides the PyFR application.
There are three methods to install pyfr on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pyfr Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pyfr using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pyfrInstall pyfr Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pyfr using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pyfrInstall pyfr Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pyfr using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install pyfrHow To Uninstall pyfr on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the pyfr package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pyfrUninstall pyfr And Its Dependencies
To uninstall pyfr and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pyfrRemove pyfr Configurations and Data
To remove pyfr configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pyfrRemove pyfr configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove pyfr configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge pyfrDependencies
