How To Install put-dns on Ubuntu 22.04

on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is put-dns
put-dns is:
put-dns provides a simple cli interface to create external DNS records on various external providers, hiding the details of the access. Aimed at allowing packages a simple interface, based on the RFC1034 record format, to create the DNS entries required for them to operate as expected. The default ’none’ provider simply accumulates the pending DNS records in a file for manual creation. The ‘mythicbeasts’ provider is native to put-dns. The following providers require the ’lexicon’ package:
There are three methods to install put-dns
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get

Install put-dns Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install put-dns
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install put-dns

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install put-dns
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install put-dns
Install put-dns Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install put-dns
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install put-dns
How To Uninstall put-dns on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the put-dns
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove put-dns
Uninstall put-dns And Its Dependencies
To uninstall put-dns
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove put-dns
Remove put-dns Configurations and Data
To remove put-dns
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge put-dns
Remove put-dns configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove put-dns
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge put-dns
