How To Install puppet-module-tempest on Kali Linux

What is puppet-module-tempest

puppet-module-tempest is:

Puppet lets you centrally manage every important aspect of your system using a cross-platform specification language that manages all the separate elements normally aggregated in different files, like users, cron jobs, and hosts, along with obviously discrete elements like packages, services, and files.

This module manages both the installation and configuration of OpenStack Tempest.

Tempest is a set of integration tests to be run against a live Openstack cluster in order to make sure that all components are working as expected. Tempest will start and stop virtual machine in order to check that your cloud is working as expected.

There are three methods to install puppet-module-tempest on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install puppet-module-tempest Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install puppet-module-tempest using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install puppet-module-tempest

Install puppet-module-tempest Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install puppet-module-tempest using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install puppet-module-tempest

Install puppet-module-tempest Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install puppet-module-tempest using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install puppet-module-tempest
