What is puppet-module-magnum
puppet-module-magnum is:
Puppet lets you centrally manage every important aspect of your system using a cross-platform specification language that manages all the separate elements normally aggregated in different files, like users, cron jobs, and hosts, along with obviously discrete elements like packages, services, and files.
This module manages both the installation and configuration of OpenStack Magnum.
Magnum is an OpenStack project which offers container orchestration engines for deploying and managing containers as first class resources in OpenStack. It features:
- Abstractions for bays, containers, nodes, pods, replication controllers, and services
- Integration with Kubernetes and Docker for backend container technology
- Integration with Keystone for multi-tenant security
- Integration with Neutron for Kubernetes multi-tenancy network security
There are three methods to install puppet-module-magnum
on Debian 12. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install puppet-module-magnum Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install puppet-module-magnum
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install puppet-module-magnum

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install puppet-module-magnum
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install puppet-module-magnum
Install puppet-module-magnum Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install puppet-module-magnum
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install puppet-module-magnum
How To Uninstall puppet-module-magnum on Debian 12
To uninstall only the puppet-module-magnum
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove puppet-module-magnum
Uninstall puppet-module-magnum And Its Dependencies
To uninstall puppet-module-magnum
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove puppet-module-magnum
Remove puppet-module-magnum Configurations and Data
To remove puppet-module-magnum
configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge puppet-module-magnum
Remove puppet-module-magnum configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove puppet-module-magnum
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge puppet-module-magnum
