How To Install pslist on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install pslist
on Kali Linux.
What is pslist
pslist is:
pslist is a simple utility to list the process IDs (PIDs) of a process and all its children, and its children’s children, and so on. If invoked with a command name which ends in ‘kill’, it sends a signal to a selected group of processes. If invoked with a command name which ends in ‘renice’, it sets the nice level of the selected group of processes.
There are three methods to install pslist
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pslist Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install pslist
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pslist

After updating apt database, We can install pslist
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pslist
Install pslist Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install pslist
using aptitude

How To Uninstall pslist on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the pslist
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pslist
