How To Install psi-plus-webkit on Ubuntu 18.04

This package contains WebKit version of Psi+. In comparing with basic Psi+ version it has few additional features: support of animated emoticons, support of (adium) themes in private chats and group chats, support of previewing of images and videos in private chats and group chats, etc..
Psi IM is a cross-platform powerful XMPP/Jabber client (Qt, C++) designed for the Jabber power users. Psi+ is a development branch of Psi client by [email protected] team.
Project Purpose: collection, refinement and writing new patches for transferring them to Psi IM upstream.

There are three methods to install psi-plus-webkit on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install psi-plus-webkit Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install psi-plus-webkit using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install psi-plus-webkit
Install psi-plus-webkit Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install psi-plus-webkit using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install psi-plus-webkit
Install psi-plus-webkit Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install psi-plus-webkit using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install psi-plus-webkit
How To Uninstall psi-plus-webkit on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the psi-plus-webkit package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove psi-plus-webkit

To uninstall psi-plus-webkit and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove psi-plus-webkit

To remove psi-plus-webkit configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge psi-plus-webkit
Remove psi-plus-webkit configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove psi-plus-webkit configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge psi-plus-webkit
