What is psfex

psfex is:

Extract models of the Point Spread Function (PSF) from FITS images processed with SExtractor, and measures the quality of images. The generated PSF models can be used for model-fitting photometry or morphological analyses.

There are three methods to install psfex on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install psfex Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install psfex using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install psfex
