How To Install proguard-gui on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install proguard-gui on Kali Linux.
What is proguard-gui
proguard-gui is:
ProGuard is a free Java class file shrinker, optimizer, and obfuscator. It can detect and remove unused classes, fields, methods, and attributes. It can then optimize bytecode and remove unused instructions. Finally, it can rename the remaining classes, fields, and methods using short meaningless names. The resulting jars are smaller and harder to reverse-engineer.
This package contains the Proguard desktop application.
There are three methods to install proguard-gui on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install proguard-gui Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install proguard-gui using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install proguard-guiInstall proguard-gui Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install proguard-gui using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install proguard-guiInstall proguard-gui Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install proguard-gui using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install proguard-guiHow To Uninstall proguard-gui on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the proguard-gui package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove proguard-guiUninstall proguard-gui And Its Dependencies
To uninstall proguard-gui and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove proguard-guiRemove proguard-gui Configurations and Data
To remove proguard-gui configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge proguard-guiRemove proguard-gui configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove proguard-gui configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
