How To Install proguard-cli on Kali Linux

What is proguard-cli
proguard-cli is:
ProGuard is a free Java class file shrinker, optimizer, and obfuscator. It can detect and remove unused classes, fields, methods, and attributes. It can then optimize bytecode and remove unused instructions. Finally, it can rename the remaining classes, fields, and methods using short meaningless names. The resulting jars are smaller and harder to reverse-engineer.
This package contains the Proguard command line tool.
There are three methods to install proguard-cli on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install proguard-cli Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install proguard-cli using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install proguard-cliInstall proguard-cli Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install proguard-cli using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install proguard-cliInstall proguard-cli Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install proguard-cli using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install proguard-cliHow To Uninstall proguard-cli on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the proguard-cli package we can use the following command:

To uninstall proguard-cli and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove proguard-cliRemove proguard-cli Configurations and Data
To remove proguard-cli configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge proguard-cliRemove proguard-cli configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
