What is postgresql-all

This metapackage depends on all PostgreSQL server packages, in all supported versions (excluding documentation and debug symbols). It exists to facilitate depending on the server packages in test environments.

PostgreSQL is a fully featured object-relational database management system. It supports a large part of the SQL standard and is designed to be extensible by users in many aspects. Some of the features are: ACID transactions, foreign keys, views, sequences, subqueries, triggers, user-defined types and functions, outer joins, multiversion concurrency control. After updating apt database, We can install postgresql-all using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install postgresql-all

How To Uninstall postgresql-all on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the postgresql-all package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove postgresql-all

To uninstall postgresql-all and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove postgresql-all
