How To Install postgresql-13-pgmp on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install postgresql-13-pgmp on Kali Linux.
What is postgresql-13-pgmp
postgresql-13-pgmp is:
pgmp is a PostgreSQL extension to add the GMP data types and functions directly into the database.
The extension adds the types mpz (arbitrary size integers) and mpq (arbitrary precision rationals) to PostgreSQL and exposes to the database all the functions available in the GMP library for these data types, allowing:
- higher performance arithmetic on integers respect to the numeric data type
- a rational data type for absolute precision storage and arithmetic
- using specialized functions to deal with prime numbers, random numbers, factorization directly into the database.
There are three methods to install postgresql-13-pgmp on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install postgresql-13-pgmp Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install postgresql-13-pgmp using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude -y install postgresql-13-pgmpHow To Uninstall postgresql-13-pgmp on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the postgresql-13-pgmp package we can use the following command:

To uninstall postgresql-13-pgmp and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

To remove postgresql-13-pgmp configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
