pngtools is:

pngtools is a suite of utilities to work with PNG (Portable Network Graphics) files, equivalents to libtiff’s tiffinfo, and tiffcp commands. These commands are called pnginfo, pngcp. tiffdump is replaced by pngchunks and pngchunkdesc as well.

There are three methods to install pngtools on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
