How To Install pmdk-tools on Ubuntu 20.04

What is pmdk-tools
pmdk-tools is:
The main purpose of this package is to provide a user with a set of utilities for off-line analysis and manipulation of pools created by pmem libraries.
The utilities may be useful for troubleshooting by system administrators and for software developers who work on applications based on these libraries. The latter may find these tools useful for testing and debugging purposes also.
There are three methods to install pmdk-tools
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install pmdk-tools
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install pmdk-tools
How To Uninstall pmdk-tools on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the pmdk-tools
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pmdk-tools
Uninstall pmdk-tools And Its Dependencies
To uninstall pmdk-tools
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pmdk-tools
Remove pmdk-tools Configurations and Data
To remove pmdk-tools
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pmdk-tools
