What is plexus-utils
The Plexus project seeks to create end-to-end developer tools for writing applications. At the core is the container, which can be embedded or for a full scale application server. There are many reusable components for hibernate, form processing, jndi, i18n, velocity, etc. Plexus also includes an application server which is like a J2EE application server, without all the baggage.
We can use yum or dnf to install plexus-utils on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install plexus-utils.
Install plexus-utils on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install plexus-utils using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install plexus-utils
Install plexus-utils on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install plexus-utils using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install plexus-utils
How To Uninstall plexus-utils on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the plexus-utils package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove plexus-utils
