How To Install pktstat on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install pktstat on Kali Linux.
What is pktstat
pktstat is:
pktstat displays a real-time list of active connections seen on a network interface, and how much bandwidth is being used by what.
It partially decodes HTTP and FTP protocols to show what filename is being transferred, as well as X11 application names. Entries hang around on the screen for a few seconds so you can see what just happened.
It also accepts BPF expressions.
There are three methods to install pktstat on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pktstat Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

To uninstall only the pktstat package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pktstatUninstall pktstat And Its Dependencies
To uninstall pktstat and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pktstatRemove pktstat Configurations and Data
To remove pktstat configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pktstatRemove pktstat configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove pktstat configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
