How To Install pip-check-reqs on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install pip-check-reqs on Kali Linux.
What is pip-check-reqs
pip-check-reqs is:
It happens: you start using a module in your project and it works and you don’t realise that it’s only being included in your virtualenv because it’s a dependency of a package you’re using. pip-missing-reqs finds those modules so you can include them in the requirements.txt for the project.
Alternatively, you have a long-running project that has some packages in requirements.txt that are no longer actively used in the codebase. The pip-extra-reqs tool will find those modules so you can remove them.
There are three methods to install pip-check-reqs on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pip-check-reqs Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pip-check-reqs using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pip-check-reqsInstall pip-check-reqs Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pip-check-reqs using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
