The Security Component provides a complete security system for your web application. It ships with facilities for authenticating using HTTP basic or digest authentication, interactive form login or X.509 certificate login, but also allows you to implement your own authentication strategies. Furthermore, the component provides ways to authorize authenticated users based on their roles, and it contains an advanced ACL system. We can use yum or dnf to install php-symfony-security on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install php-symfony-security.
Install php-symfony-security on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install php-symfony-security using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install php-symfony-security
Install php-symfony-security on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install php-symfony-security using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install php-symfony-security
How To Uninstall php-symfony-security on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the php-symfony-security package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove php-symfony-security
